We helped Omelet to create a unique 3D animation with stylized 2D render for their client Don Papa Rum.

The team at Omelet always comes up with new and creative ways to help clients tell their stories.
It was a pleasure to help them create 3D animated film for Don Papa that showcases the rum's origin.

The challenge was to produce an engaging single shot 3D animation with a stylized render, that showcase the luxurious spirit behind the iconic Don Papa Rum.
We created from scratch the Sugarlandia island, composed of thousand of handcrafted 3D trees, plants and flowers.
Each part of the island was designed to support the story of the brand, going from wild and exotic animals to magical sugar canes fields at the base of a volcano.

3D Animations

We can animate anything in 3D to give life to our projects : objects, cameras, characters, particles, lights, etc..

Cinema 4D

3D Modeling

For complex objects, ZBrush give us all the power and creative freedom we need to sculpt highly defined 3D models.

3D Simulations

Houdini allowed us to create complex particles and fluid simulations, using a node based procedural workflow.

Direction

Our in-house Creative Director was in charge of directing the film, and define the rhythm of the project.

Compositing

We used a 32bpc nodal compositing workflow, with the latest industry standards : OCIO, ACES & Cryptomatte

Rendering

We rendered this project with our own EC2 instances on AWS, scaling to hundreds of servers to deliver in time.

Our producer was in charge of managing the project, passing client feedbacks to our creative team.

Working closely with the client's Creative Director, we were in charge of defining the look and design of the film.
